The Stephen B Show will begin as a one hour audio podcast and soon, most likely within a few months become a video podcast. The idea is my passion, a passionate and humor filled examination of the battle between grace and truth. There will be a comedy segment with interviews with people in the industry and naturally a focus on culture, politics, faith and food.
Episode One will be posted in December or sooner and will begin as a weekly podcast. The learning curve tied to the production challenges will determine if or how soon I can increase the number of weekly shows.
The Battle Between Grace and Truth
I’ll explain. Yes I’m a disciple of Jesus Christ and everything I do is governed by the beliefs that I hold even when I get it wrong, which is often but The Stephen B Show isn’t going to be a religious pod cast. The battle between grace and truth is a realistic look at human life. Jesus as described in the Bible was filled with both grace and truth. Humans rarely are able to exhibit both of these traits at the same time. This is the struggle of being human. The challenge to discover what is true, noble, honorable, moral and ethical and then if we are able to determine what those traits are, attempting to live according to these truths. Which are always juxtaposed with our ability to accept, forgive, tolerate, love and be kind to those who we perceive as falling short of or in opposition to these truths. The enigma is, and always will be, the determination of what truth is. In that battle between grace and truth is the genesis of comedy. Human stupidity is the only guaranteed result in the battle between grace and truth. My job, exploit it for the sake of entertainment and sanity.
There it is. The plan, the goals and the reason that I’m hoping at least one of you listens to the Stephen B show. If not, I’ll be talking to myself, which I do anyway, but now these conversations will be made public which will ensure that I never run for office.
